There is a notion that the world is the way it is. However I firmly believe we can change it. This global crisis which everybody is bearing the brunt of is a message loud and clear. It clearly indicates that our present systems do not seem to work very well when tested by a global crisis like this one.
We need to rethink the world and reimagine a new world with different systems. If we shy away in dismay from this reality, the spirit of the human race might as well die of denial and an unrealistic sense of pride.
The human race makes a beautiful timeline of events that took place gradually, and each new step into a new sphere of unexplored territory took mankind to new places unimaginable by someone in the early ages of mankind. I cannot help but be awed by the timeline of events that led to the world we live in today.
This new world will be born only when we test our current thinking and systems. We need to be open to new ideas from a diverse set of minds. We also need to test our boundaries and look for new possibilities.
Collective re-imagination and rethinking will not only spread the wings of the human race but will also make space for a new set of values that are more relevant to the present times.
These changes will take place gradually if we begin now. It is important we begin now in our own individual magnitude and start bringing out our ideas into the open to be tested by the world. A love for both trial and error needs to be existent in each one of our minds before setting out on this task.
An open mind with limitless boundaries will act as a catalyst for the development of a new world. Without an open mind the extent of our thinking and doing will be restricted, and this would lead the whole of mankind to continue to err.
I hope we all keep walking together as one. This will make a huge difference to all of our lives and the world.
